Shipping Policy
Affordable Modern Furniture ships free of charge in the United States on items shipped within the 48 contiguous States. We do not ship to Alaska or HI or outside of the US because of the expense. If you wish shipment to AL or HI, please e-mail info@affordable-modern-furniture.com with a list of furniture pieces you wish to ship and we will provide you a quote.

For shipments over 100lbs, or those not delivered via UPS, service includes 2-person, inside the threshold of the residence, stair carriers (up to two (2) flights prior to the threshold). If any piece weigh more than 300 lbs or pieces are greater then four, shipment will only be available for delivery to the First Dry Area or Garage. Each additional flight of 10 steps will be assessed an additional fee of $33.00 per flight per delivery.

A four-hour delivery window during normal business hours will be provided for each non-UPS shipment. More specific delivery times is not available with our free shipping policy.

A pre-shipment confirmation call will occur on orders NOT delivered via UPS. The shipping company will attempt to contact the consignee via phone during normal business hours, to verify the address, phone number, e-mail address and product being shipped as outlined in the shipment registration.

If arrangements have been made for delivery and no party is available to receive the shipment, the expense incurred to Affordable Modern Furniture of $55.00 per occurrence will become the responsibility of the buyer.

A refusal of shipment is billable for both return and original shipping costs, as well as a 15% restocking fee. Actual shipment cost is based upon freight billing incurred by Affordable Modern Furniture.

Important: Upon placement of order, please check your confirmation email immediately to insure "ship to" address is correct. Should the address be incorrect, please contact Affordable Modern Furniture immediately. Once a package has been shipped, there will be a $15 redirect charge should the address need to be changed while in transit.

Shipping costs from Affordable Modern Furniture will not be refunded or credited under any circumstances. Any purchases/exchanges due to returns are not covered under the free shipping offer. Return shipping, payment of return shipment, and any subsequent damages from return shipping are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise stated.

Be sure to inspect all packages for damage before signing for the package. If there is visible damage, reject the shipment and verify the driver notes the damage and contact Affordable Modern Furniture Support ASAP. We will file a damage claim with the shipper and ship a replacement ASAP. Damage claims on shipped items must be made within 10 days of package arrival. (note: if you are purchasing a product and it needs to be installed at a later time, please test the product during the first 10 days.)

During the checkout process, there is a check box labeled "I have read and agree with the Affordable Modern Furniture return policy." By checking this check box you are authorizing Affordable Modern Furniture to charge the credit card supplied during the checkout process under the above stipulations.
